Political conflicts in the Global South accentuate the urgency of addressing Sustainable Development Goals, a set of international development goals for eradicating extreme poverty, fighting inequalities and tackling climate change. Global warming not only causes climate change and poverty but also escalates political crises and violence in developing nations. Droughts, for instance, have caused massive migrations which in turn triggered conflicts. Understanding these complex mechanisms requires a global and interdisciplinary approach. This forum is an attempt to explore the challenges we face.
