Overview

To promote preventive health management both domestically and internationally we aim to construct a standard model for healthcare, by building and verifying a system based on preventive medicine and business science that will allow us to assess the social impact of businesses and institutions that practice preventive health management.

Research

Preventive health management is a business management practice that actively works to promote employee health, taking health and well-being as an important management index.

The aim of this unit is to promote preventive health management both domestically and internationally by building and verifying a system that could function as a standard assessment model for businesses and institutions engaged in health promotion. To be more precise, our objectives are 1) to examine over time the influence of health promotion on productivity, based on big group data and 2) to cultivate policy professionals through education of those in charge of human resources and insurance. To these ends, we will utilize historical data on the health management index, health check data and health insurance claims data of companies and organizations.

Through this research, we hope to disseminate our view that a raised awareness of health-promotion in business management will lead to a richer, more creative and productive society.
