Energy Policy Roundtable 2012
Energy Challenges and Perspectives in Asia
In the 1st Energy Policy Roundtable 2012, an in-depth analysis of the current and future energy situation was given in a global context, while a number of upcoming challenges and issues were raised. Asian countries are rapidly assuming growing significance in the world and, as a result, the global energy security landscape is changing.
For the second seminar of this Roundtable, we will focus our discussion on energy in the Asian region, inviting Prof. CHOU Siaw Kiang, Executive Director, the Energy Studies Institute (ESI) at the National University of Singapore. He will give a speech on energy circumstances and perspectives in Asian countries, which now lead in world energy demand. More precisely, he is expected to deepen the discussion by presenting his views on future energy perspectives and challenges in light of realities in the region.
